Or are we calling it the BenitoBowl? I know the Super Bowl is a whole vibe, but who else is going to celebrate the Boricua takeover like us? I made a few calls, so you don’t have to. Here is a quick list of Latin Restaurants in the Hudson Valley that serve more than just basic wings and beer.
Capicu – Middletown, NY
Flags up, turn up, and bring all the Bori pride with all your favorite dishes.
PRO TIP: If you can’t sit at the bar – grab a high top for the hookah lounge. There are TV’s in the opposite end for families.
Recommendation: Trifongo – platano, maduro, and yuca paired with Mojito de COCO
Casa Mia – Middletown, NY
Heard this place is a whole vibe, family-friendly, and the menu serves more than just pretzels, wings, and chips.
Tradicionez – Fishkill, NY
Beautiful decor, bar seating, and a large screen for everyone to watch the game. Yes, mojitos, jugo de parcha, pernil, and tostones rellenos are on the menu.
Buena Aventura – Poughkeepsie, NY
Another spot that is whole mood, the owner is an amazing host, and you can’t miss out on the food.
La Fortaleza – Poughkeepsie, NY
Think BIG when you visit this spot, big drinks, big appetizers, big screens, big PARTY for big groups to celebrate El Conejo Malo
Sazon con Pilon – Haverstraw, NY
Located in one of the largest Latin communities in the Lower Hudson Valley, expect all authentic Puerto Rican and Dominican Dishes.
Raices – Tompkins Cove, NY (NEW)
This one is a NEWBIE, and it’s giving all the chill vibes, but is also ready to celebrate.
